It's a New Year!

IMG_2034_zps8d7d45f3

I don't really make resolutions, but I do like to give myself attainable goals each new year which I guess is a resolution. This year, I'm keeping it simple:

1. Keep my head on straight
2. Eat a green a day
3. Work my bod out 3-4 times a week
4. Read a few books (I used to read a book a month which doesn't seem like much, but with a baby these days reading a few sentences is a start.)
5. Love my husband and son well
6. Start journaling again
7. Be creative with hands-on projects (more DIY projects and less tech time: I recently cut out Facebook and Instagram, and I really just miss Instagram. However, I have found that it is easy to replace one technology with another. I find myself playing multiple games of solitaire and snood.)
8. Less solitaire and snood
9. Serve my homeless brothers and sisters
10. Give more of myself to God and others

I don't make resolutions either. I have a tendency to ask God to give me a Word for the Year and a Verse for the Year. This year He gave me 'Abundance'... big word. He has given me JOY, DANCE, STILLNESS, QUIET, SEE...

I like your list - it is well-rounded.

@Robyn, I love that he gives you a new word each year. That's beautiful. I'm going to ask for mine and see what he says. xo

I miss you and T on Instagram, too. Hope you are getting the chance to read a few pages so far this year. :-)

@Lori, I'm reading the Forgotten God by Francis Chan. It's all about the Holy Spirit.
